Education Inclusion Service 

(Daycare, kinder, schools, respite services)

This program is intended for new educational services using Autism Action Pty Ltd. This is the core program for other services you may want to use within Autism Action in the future. In the initial session your Autism Education Consultant will use this time to develop a profile of the teacher and the concerns s/he may have in regards to the child with ASD. Classroom/playtime observations are also done of the child at this time. Together we start to plan what type of intervention/support is required for the teacher and child to reach their individual potential. Sessions are generally in1.5-2 hour blocks. Consecutive sessions will be booked as required. During these sessions the Consultant will develop strategies that compliment the teacher's specific teaching style and understanding of an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

As Autism Action Pty Ltd is primarily a family intervention service we like to contact parents to discuss any concerns they have in regards to what they perceive is happening for their child. If required, home visits will be organized to assist families with home issues at a cost to the parents. Gaining the parents prospective provides the consultant to see the ‘big picture.’ Overall, it allows the consultant to bridge the gap between school, home and other services.

Parent/ Teacher Mediation Support

At some point of time parent and teachers are not able to be on the ‘same page’ due to a break down in communication. This could be due to lack of funding, understanding how kids with ASD learn or that the parent’s expectation are unrealistic with in the education setting. In this instance it may be necessary to invite an Autism Consultant to mediate.

Other services Autism Action can also provide:

 Professional Development and staff training on issues relating to ASD
 Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of specific program.
 Develop IEP’s for student.
